Description
Attention! Considering that the Bauwer Basis product has been discontinued, below we provide a list of recommended alternatives.
Application of the adhesion layer in the Bauwer insulation system is mandatory!
Spray coat is the first and MANDATORY adhesion layer in the Bauwer insulation system, which “prepares” the base
for applying the lightweight thermal insulation layer and prevents detachment of the lightweight plaster from the substrate.
1. The adhesion layer for interior works may be tile adhesive, with prior surface preparation according to the manufacturer’s requirements. After applying the adhesive to the base, creating horizontal grooves is mandatory. This can be done using a notched trowel with a spacing of 6×6 or 8×8 mm. The preparation in the form of a spray coat must cover at least 90% of the surface.
Recommended for use: Siltek T-80, Polimin P-12 STANDARD-PLUS, Kreisel MULTI 102.
2. The adhesion layer for exterior works is a classic cement plaster, with prior surface preparation according to the manufacturer’s requirements. After applying the plaster to the base, creating horizontal grooves is mandatory. This can be done using a notched trowel with a spacing of 8×8 or 10×10 mm. The preparation in the form of a spray coat must cover at least 90% of the surface.
Recommended for use: Polimin ShC-2 Classic, SILTEK P-11, Moment Cement Plaster.
